FAQ's

Can I really get a free consultation with an attorney at no obligation?

At Hawkins & Walker PC, we never charge to speak with a traffic ticket attorney.  Our attorneys answer their own phone and will speak with you directly, not through an intermediary. We strive to research your case as quickly as possible and to contact you via phone, email or in person to explain your options. We are also here to answer any questions that you may have along the way.

If I'm guilty, why not just pay the fine?

By paying your fine, you may be unknowingly subjecting yourself to surcharges from the State of Texas, which can mean your original citation may cost you substantially more than you bargained for.  For example, a conviction for no insurance will cost you an additional $750 in surcharges over the next three years.  In addition, you may open yourself to substantial increase in insurance premiums.  Under some circumstances, your insurance carrier may refuse to renew your insurance.
