Sommer Walker was born and raised in a small town in East Texas. She focuses her practice primarily in the areas of family law and personal injury. She also has experience in handling DTPA and products liability.
Sommer attended Howard Payne University, where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration with emphasis in Computer Information Systems in 1999, graduating magna cum laude. She was a member of the Howard Payne University women’s basketball team. Sommer graduated from Texas Tech School of Law, J.D. in 2003, where she was a member of the Board of Barristers.
Sommer began her law career in downtown Beaumont, Texas at the firm of Orgain, Bell & Tucker, L.L.P. While at Orgain, Bell & Tucker, Sommer gained valuable experience in the areas of medical malpractice and toxic tort defense.
Sommer was co-founder of Hawkins & Walker, LLP in 2006, which recently changed to Hawkins & Walker PC
